Explanation: Let \(I = \int_0^{\pi/2} \frac{\sin x}{\sin x + \cos x} dx\). By applying the property \(\int_0^a f(x) dx = \int_0^a f(a-x) dx\), we replace \(x\) with \(\frac{\pi}{2} - x\).
This yields: \(I = \int_0^{\pi/2} \frac{\cos x}{\cos x + \sin x} dx\). Adding the two equations:
\(2I = \int_0^{\pi/2} \frac{\sin x + \cos x}{\sin x + \cos x} dx = \int_0^{\pi/2} 1 dx = [x]_0^{\pi/2} = \frac{\pi}{2}\).
Therefore, \(I = \frac{\pi}{4}\).
Explanation: 'Flawless' means without any blemishes, defects, or errors. 'Impeccable' means faultless, perfect, or exemplary. It is the direct synonym in this context. 'Imperfect' and 'Defective' are antonyms, whereas 'Average' indicates mediocrity.
Explanation: Distance traveled in half a circular path is \(\pi r\). However, displacement is defined as the shortest straight-line distance between the starting and ending positions. Since the starting and ending positions are at opposite sides of the circle, the distance between them is the diameter, which is equal to \(2r\).
